Child and Adolescent Assessment Psychologist (Part-time or Full-time)
Westside Child Psychology is a private practice in Calgary, AB that caters to the assessment and treatment/counselling of children and adolescents, as well as offering parenting solutions and support to families. We are a professional, newly built office in Aspen Landing that provides a boutique, fresh, and fun atmosphere for both clients and staff.
Westside Child Psychology is seeking to add a registered psychologist to the team (that currently consists of four psychologists and an office coordinator) who has the natural ability to connect with children and their families. Some consideration would be given to an exceptional provisional psychologist depending on training and experience.
The ideal candidate will have extensive training and experience in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments that seek to assess, identify, and differentiate between neurodevelopmental disorders in children including:
- ADHD
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Learning Disabilities
- Intellectual Developmental Disorders
- Communication Disorders
- Anxiety/OCD
- Behavioral Disorders
- Giftedness
Our practice is highly regarded for their thorough assessment process and comprehensive psychoeducational reports. The ideal candidate will have: 1) a deep knowledge base of childhood disorders, 2) the ability to think critically and identify how these disorders present in practice, and 3) demonstrate a well-developed communication style, both verbally and written, that results in assessment reports that stand above the rest. Consultation with schools (e.g., observations, IPP meetings/planning), pediatricians, psychiatrists, and other professionals as part of, and following the assessment process is often implemented.
