Child Psychologist/ Provisional Psychologist

Corinne Eckert Child & Adolescent Psychology is a child psychology clinic offering counselling and psychological treatment services to children and families. We work with children from 6-18 years old, through a family-focused and developmental lens. Many of the children and teens we work with present with diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD, anxiety disorders, OCD, Depressive Disorder, TS, ODD, Social Communication and Sensory Processing Disorders.  Issues often worked on are those regarding understanding diagnoses, relationship (peer/family, etc.), emotional regulation, educational, self-esteem, mood, worry, panic, social skills, grief, etc.  At our clinic we offer counselling services, which may include consultation with parents, teachers, physicians; assessment services; and our Training in Core Social Skills program.

We are currently seeking an associate to join our counselling program.  This role would involve seeing children and teens for counselling, developing treatment plans and schedules, and involving families as/when appropriate.  We have availability for part or full-time positions.  This is a contract position, wherein the independent contractor may set their own schedule and number of days worked. Pay is based on jointly agreed ratio for number of clients seen, ranging from $92/hr – $132/hr. Services offered to the clinicians are as follows: Client referrals, scheduling, creation of client charts, billing, digital charting platform, reception, other administrative services as needed, peer supervision group, consultation with Clinical Director as needed, office, therapy supplies, therapist library, snacks and coffee/tea, etc.  We also have assessment and group rooms for use as needed.  We value our team spirit at our clinic and often have staff events to support connection and celebration!

Applicants must be registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists, or provisionally registered. Experience working with children is required, as well as training in play and trauma therapeutic modalities, or the commitment to engage in such training in these 2 therapeutic areas.
