Fully Registered Psychologists or Provisional Psychologists

Alberta Counselling Centre is a psychology practice offering assessments and both online and in-person treatment sessions for adults, children, teens, couples, and families. We are a collaborative group of psychologists who thrive in a positive, team atmosphere. Psychologists work out of our beautiful, well-appointed office with the support of a full-time receptionist.

WE CURRENTLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING CONTRACT POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

1. Registered psychologists or provisional psychologists who can provide individual therapy and have a keen interest in trauma, anxiety, and depression. Candidates must be trained in EMDR or willing to enroll in an approved training program.

Candidate should:

• Be able to potentially see clients during any of the following times: daytime and/or evening shifts. Potential days to see clients – 2 to 4 days a week, Monday through Sunday
• Be familiar with or willing to learn how to use NeuroTek equipment (the light bar, lap scan, and tac unit) for EMDR therapy

Ability to also provide some combination of the following services: individual counselling for adults, children, teens, couples counselling, and family counselling is an asset.

A supervising psychologist is available for provisional psychologists for the above position.

2. Registered psychologist who is trained and experienced completing psychoeducational assessments, gifted assessments, adult ADHD assessments, and autism assessments.

Candidate should:

• Be fully registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists
• Be familiar with Q-interactive (Pearson’s iPad administration, iPads and test measures are supplied) or able and keen to learn
• Have training and experience administering the ADOS-II and ADI-R

Experience with Psychological assessments, behavioural assessments, and/or career assessments is an asset.
