We are looking for provisional psychologists to join our growing team.

What does CWJGAC provide? 

In partnership with CWJGAC, you can establish a client caseload that you take with you when you go, develop as a therapist, and learn everything you need to know about how to run a private practice.

Opportunity to have group supervision, individual supervision, and consultation in a supportive setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for provisional psychologists to complete 1600 hours towards full registration with clients, office space, and on-site supervision provided.

Supervision is provided at a ratio of 15-1 for your 1600 provisional hours as per the standard of the college.

Competitive supervision fees with a supervisor who has over 20 years of experience.

 

Candidate Qualifications: 

Registered provisional psychologist wanting to achieve full registration status by completing 1600 hours.

Please only apply if you have your academic credentials approved by CAP and can create a supervision plan with CWJGAC’s internal supervisor.

Initiative-taking and self-directed individual who can work both independently and as part of a team.

Must be able to offer service during the day and 2 evenings per week.

Comfortable working in a private practice setting.

Able to maintain professional liability insurance and slip and trip.

Experience in working with couples, individuals, families, and teens (Gottman Method and EMDR would be an asset)

Have a desire to collaborate with a client-centred and systems approach using various methods of therapy. CBT, Narrative, EMDR, solutions-focused, Family Systems theory etc.

Job duties include:

Caseload management

File upkeep

Ability to be available to accept and book client appointments and field intake calls to build your caseload.

Able to make referrals and connect clients to resources.

Provide consultation to other professionals.

Willingness to follow the policy and procedures of CWJGAC.

Have an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to execute business opportunities.
