Indigenous Psychological Services

Our vision is to embody the Medicine Wheel and Holistic approaches that focus on the health and well-being of our Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients.

We are an integrated services that focus on the Two-Eyed Seeing approach recommended by Elder Albert Marshell. Our goal is to create a community of people that are culturally, and trauma informed while offering a range of counselling services. With our cultural protocols, we follow our circle of laws that guide us. We believe in healthy kinships and building communities to support the people we work with. We serve clients all over Alberta.


Indigenous Psychological Services is growing very fast!

We’re looking for Full-Time or Part Time Registered Psychologists to join our team to offer both Online and In-Person counselling all over Alberta. We have offices in Slave Lake, Calgary, Edmonton, Enoch, and Red Deer. We are hiring at all our locations.

Who we’re looking for: 

We’re currently in the process of hiring for full-time roles; Registered Psychologists. We’re a tight-knit team of therapists, so finding the right fit is important! We believe in having a safe, accepting, and community of therapists that are focused on healthy kinships.

The successful candidate also has the following:

  • You’re registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists
  • You’re committed to at least 10-20 hours of client work per week
  • You have experience with trauma or willing to take trauma training.
  • You must be willing to experience the culture and enrol in cultural awareness training.
  •  Providers must apply for FNIHB and IRS.

About us: 

We are offering both online and in-person sessions to adults, adolescents, couples, and families. We utilize several different approaches to counselling, including CBT, Somatic, EMDR and Solution-Focused therapy, with each counsellor free to select their approach on a client-by-client basis.

As a team, we are committed to building strong relationships with clients founded on trust, empathy, and mutual respect first, so that our clients feel understood and encouraged to create positive change in their lives. We’re focused on building a practice of competent, experienced, and empathetic therapists who are committed to helping clients move toward healing and discovering healthy and adaptive ways of coping.

We are accepting prospects at all our locations. We offer monthly and yearly incentives. We also provide training in cultural and trauma informed modalities.
