Abstract

Join us for PAA Members Connect, Wednesday 05 August at 12:00PM. PAA CEO, Judi Malone, and PAA Board Member, Dr. Jacqui Linder, want to hear from you as we navigate this quickly evolving professional landscape together.  

This is an important time to stay connected as colleagues. PAA Members Connect is a chance to connect with PAA members across the province and discuss the most pressing issues we’re all facing. This informal online forum will use video conferencing to enable us to have a face-to-face conversation in real time. Let’s lean on each other and stay connected in this ever-changing environment.

Dr. Judi Malone

Judi L Malone, PhD, R. Psych (AB/AUS) is the CEO of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta with extensive experience collaborating to strengthen the role and profile of psychology and access for Albertans. Dr Malone has a wealth of scientist-practitioner experience from clinical practice, academic roles, and in research. She has expertise in working with disadvantaged populations and both national and international perspectives from dual registration in Alberta and Australia. Her clinical expertise is in trauma, the neurobiology of addictions, and professional ethics in rural and small communities.

Dr. Jacqui Linder

Dr. Linder is a licensed psychologist in Alberta and Ontario and Director of City University’s Master of Counselling Program. She works with a wide range of trauma populations including survivors of sexual abuse/exploitation, domestic battery, war rape, first responders, and military personnel. She has trained over 12,000 professionals in the effects of psychological trauma. Dr. Linder is also an internationally recognized expert in the psychological profiling of human trafficking survivors. She has lectured across Canada as well as in the USA, France, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Hungary, the UK, Guyana, and the Czech Republic. Some notable presentations include the Canadian Police College, Interpol, and the United National Office of Drugs and Crime. Dr. Linder is currently writing a book on soul loss and heroism in survivors of human trafficking.

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation and refunds may be applied for by writing to the PAA office. Cancellations received fourteen (14) days prior to the Continuing Education activity will receive a full refund of the registration fee, less a $25.00 + gst processing fee. PAA reserves the right to cancel any activity, in which case a full refund of the registration fee will be provided.
