Abstract

Join us for PAA Members Connect on Thursday 15 April at 12:00PM. PAA CEO, Dr. Judi Malone and PAA Board Member Heather Gower want to hear from you as we navigate this quickly evolving professional landscape together.  

This is an important time to stay connected as colleagues. PAA Members Connect is a chance to connect with PAA members across the province and discuss the most pressing issues we’re all facing. This informal online forum will use video conferencing to enable us to have a face-to-face conversation in real-time. Let’s lean on each other and stay connected in this ever-changing environment.

Judi Malone, Ph.D.

Judi L Malone, Ph.D., R. Psych (AB/AUS) is the CEO of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta with extensive experience collaborating to strengthen the role and profile of psychology and access for Albertans. Dr. Malone has a wealth of scientist-practitioner experience from clinical practice, academic roles, and in research. She has expertise in working with disadvantaged populations and both national and international perspectives from dual registration in Alberta and Australia. Her clinical expertise is in trauma, the neurobiology of addictions, and professional ethics in rural and small communities.

Heather Gower, M.Ed.

Heather is a Registered Psychologist in Alberta, as well as a doctoral student at the University of Alberta. Heather has served on the PAA Board of Directors for the past 2 years as the Registered Provisional Psychologist board director and is passionate about counsellor training and education. Thus, her work with the PAA has focused on supporting early career psychologists, including in the supervision and registration process. Heather's research and professional interests include psychologist regulation and education, ethics and best practices, history of psychology and science, science-informed practice, and couples counselling. 

 

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation and refunds may be applied for by writing to the PAA office. Cancellations received fourteen (14) days prior to the Continuing Education activity will receive a full refund of the registration fee, less a $25.00 + gst processing fee. PAA reserves the right to cancel any activity, in which case a full refund of the registration fee will be provided.
