Join us for PAA Members Connect on Thursday 16 June at 12:00PM. PAA CEO, Dr. Judi Malone, and PAA Board Member Sandra Dixon want to hear from you as we navigate this quickly evolving professional landscape together.  

This is an important time to stay connected as colleagues. PAA Members Connect is a chance to connect with PAA members across the province and discuss the most pressing issues we’re all facing. This informal online forum will use video conferencing to enable us to have a face-to-face conversation in real-time. Let’s lean on each other and stay connected in this ever-changing environment.

Dr. Judi Malone

Judi L Malone, PhD, R. Psych (AB/AUS) is the CEO of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta with extensive experience collaborating to strengthen the role and profile of psychology and access for Albertans. Dr Malone has a wealth of scientist-practitioner experience from clinical practice, academic roles, and in research. She has expertise in working with disadvantaged populations and both national and international perspectives from dual registration in Alberta and Australia. Her clinical expertise is in trauma, the neurobiology of addictions, and professional ethics in rural and small communities.

Dr. Sandra Dixon

Dr. Dixon is a Registered Psychologist in Alberta and an Assistant Professor at the University of Lethbridge. Her research program includes investigations of culturally sensitive counselling practices among immigrants, cultural identity reconstruction, and ethno-cultural diversity issues including but not limited to the intersectionality between spirituality, class, race, and gender across cultural contexts. She has extensive experience in immigration research, community engagement, social justice, and advocacy. She brings knowledge and enthusiasm for social inclusion and faith-based frameworks. She supports the professional education of counsellors-in-training and other helping professionals through the development and delivery of online teaching. She has published a wide range of work that centres around faith, immigration, and multicultural counselling.
