Professional Affiliate Membership (non-voting) is open to an individual who:

a) is a professional with an interest in psychology (such professionals may include, but are not limited to, social workers, school counselors, mental health therapists, medical professionals, and clergy); and

b) is a regulated health professional with at least a master’s degree in psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, social work (in clinical practice), or is a psychiatrist and/or is eligible to be a regulated health professional

c) is of good character and reputation; and

d) pays the prescribed dues

e) Professional affiliate members are not eligible to use the PAA Referral Service 

f) Provisionally registered psychologists and fully registered psychologists are NOT eligible for Professional Affiliate membership

PAA is providing free membership for the 2024-2025 fiscal year to all those eligible to register as Counselling Therapists and who otherwise meet the current criteria to be a PAA Professional Affiliate Member.

Professional Affiliate membership fees will resume for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
