This is an in-person workshop. The exact location will be released two weeks before the event.
An ever-evolving group of communities, the 2SLGBTQ+ individuals, couples and families have become more of our therapeutic and political focus over the years. There is more research now than ever before about this group of people and their needs, and yet there is much that is not yet known about them. We as therapists will encounter people who identify themselves as belonging to some part or parts of the queer communities and so need to educate ourselves on how best to serve them. This presentation, which continues on from the Lunch and Learn that was presented on February 22nd, will be a deeper look into working with these communities.
This presentation is for mental health professionals who wish to have a deeper understanding of who the 2SLGBTQ+ communities are and their unique issues so that their services can be more meaningful and accessible to these clients.
