WHY DID YOU BECOME A THERAPIST?

You LOVE doing therapy! You feel tremendous privilege in being able to connect with people on a deep level knowing that oftentimes you are the only person who sees their pain, knows their hidden story, and believe in their worth. The positive changes your clients have made as a result of your work together fill your heart with joy and a deep sense of purpose. Because you love doing therapy and you’re really good at it, there have been many times when you can’t believe you’re being paid to do this work!

Wait, I Did Not Think Becoming A Therapist Would Be Like This.

But lately, those thoughts have been less frequent. Maybe it’s because the caseload you’re expected to carry is high, you feel like you’re drowning in paperwork, there’s no flexibility in your schedule, you don’t get to work with your ideal population, and/or you feel undervalued and lonely. All of these factors are impinging on your love of doing therapy, and you want the joy back.

There is a way out; you can have it all with us. You could do the clinical work that you love without the burnout. We are looking for a registered Social Worker or Psychologist to join our private practice.

There Is Hope!

JOIN OUR TEAM!

WHO ARE WE?

We are a warm, passionate, conscientious, small group practice, providing in-person and online therapy from our clinic in Olds, Alberta. We serve Central Alberta and offer online therapy throughout Alberta.

We practice from a relational model and believe we cannot do this work alone. We see ourselves and others better by vulnerably working alongside each other. We are a team that chooses to risk, play, be messy and not be afraid to make mistakes in our learning. We encourage, walk beside and support each other to grow out of our comfort zones. We show up to celebrate each other and to be a soft landing place when this work and world is hard.

There is no expert on our team, we learn from each other and work collaboratively, co-creating together. As Dr. Sue Johnson, founder of Emotionally Focused Therapy said, “we are all bozos on the same bus.” As imperfect human beings, we know it is inevitable to have ruptures in our relationships and take risks to repair injuries with each other with openness, accessibility, responsiveness and vulnerability to restore trust, safety, belonging and connection.
