Who We Are: 

Modern Solutions Counselling is an established multidisciplinary mental health private practice offering in-person and virtual services for adults (18 years and older) with trauma, personality disorders, addictions, mood and anxiety disorders. Our goal is to work as a team to provide compassionate, evidence-based quality care to meet the complex needs of the clients we serve.

We are looking for applicants with the following:

Qualifications:

• Masters level degree in Psychology or Social Work.
• Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) or the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
• Individual professional liability insurance.

Skills:

• Experience working with clients who are struggling with trauma, personality disorders,  addictions, mood and anxiety disorders.
• To provide assessment, individual therapy services, and clinical management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and to work independently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Competency in working with adults (18 years and older).

One or more of the following would be considered an asset:

• Official training from Behavioral Tech (Marsha Linehan’s certified training program) or equivalent training.
• Trained in and have experience with trauma-focused therapies such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and/or Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
• Experience facilitating group therapy.
• Competency in working with adolescents (13 – 17 years old).
