We are looking for registered psychologists who are interested in being part of a growing team of mental health professionals with expertise in couples counselling and strengthening relationships (our clinic’s main specialization and focus). Our ideal candidate is someone with experience in couples counselling, including knowledge of or certification in Gottman method couples therapy, and/or emotionally focused couples therapy, and/or other relevant couples therapy training. Having additional specializations or areas of interest (i.e. addictions, trauma recovery, family counseling, blended families, anger management, sexual health and intimacy, parenting, etc.) that are complementary to the range of relationship-building services we currently offer would be an asset.
We are seeking candidates who wish to work full-time but will consider part-time candidates as well. What we offer is ideal for professionals who wish to move from solo practice to a group setting to stay connected with colleagues, receive and offer support, and participate in continuing education growth opportunities. Initial client caseload would include evening work, allowing some off-site, existing day-time commitments to be continued, if desired. Compensation is a percentage of the hourly rate charged for services. Our compensation rates are determined by both experience level and the number of billed hours the associate generates each month (i.e. our compensation rates are higher for full-time associates than for part-time). We are interested in establishing long-term, collaborative relationships with our associates. Benefit packages are available for associates who achieve full-time status.
We are located in a well-appointed professional building, in an updated space with a lot of natural light and large windows, in an accessible and central area of south Calgary. Our offices are furnished. We have space for group therapy and a video production studio. We provide the support staff, scheduling, billing and accounts receivable services. We also provide in-bound marketing services to assist in generating monthly new client leads for our team members. Our team meets regularly for monthly consultations and in-service training. Our associates are expected to provide their own computer and are given a great deal of autonomy to set their own hours.
At this time, due to having reached capacity for providing supervision, we are not taking on registered provisional psychologists. However, a registered provisional psychologist with at least several years prior counselling experience under a different designation, who already has a primary supervisor, may be considered.
