WCB-Alberta’s Research Program is proud to host the 2025 Meredith Lecture on Wednesday, September 17 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. This free 90-minute virtual session features Dr. Ash Bender, an occupational psychiatrist and assistant professor at the University of Toronto. Join us for his talk:
Getting back to work after a mental health leave: Ready or not?
Dr. Bender will share evidence-based strategies to support successful return to work after psychological injury. Attendees will gain practical tools for assessing work capacity, accommodating mental health needs and overcoming common barriers.
This session is ideal for professionals in disability management, medical and clinical fields, though all are welcome. Dr. Bender brings extensive experience from CAMH and the Work, Stress and Health program, having conducted evaluations for compensation boards, insurers, employers and more.
Registration is required and space is limited. A recording will be available for 60 days to all registrants.
