Assessment Psychologist – Contract

Job Opportunity: Contract Psychologist for Child & Adolescent Assessments (Starting April 2025)

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Psychologist to join our thriving assessment-focused practice on a contract basis, beginning in April 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who enjoys working independently, values flexibility, and is passionate about supporting the well-being and development of children and adolescents.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will primarily conduct psycho-educational assessments for children and teens presenting with a variety of learning, developmental, and emotional concerns. You will be stepping in to provide support during a temporary part-time leave of the primary psychologist, helping to manage an ongoing high demand for services.

Key Details:

• Start Date: April 2025
• Schedule: Flexible, self-directed hours (approximately 10–20 hours per week, based on referrals and availability)
• Location: SW Calgary
• Type of Contract: Independent contractor -fee-for-service arrangement
• Duration: 6 months with potential for extension

What We’re Looking For:

• Registration in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists
• Extensive experience conducting psycho-educational assessments with children and adolescents
• Education from a program that focuses on educational psychology or in depth assessment training
• Strong report writing skills and ability to provide feedback to families in a clear, supportive manner
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with the main psychologist
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
