Wood’s Homes is a not-for-profit mental health center based in Calgary Alberta, with locations across Alberta. Our mission is to build good mental health and well-being so everyone can thrive in their community and children, young people and families can grow through trusted mental health services.

Wood’s Homes is looking for one (1) part-time Clinician to join our Group Care Clinical Programs. 

Role Summary:

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Clinician is responsible for the development and provision of quality clinical services to the clients and programs of Wood’s Homes. The Clinician will demonstrate due diligence in being exceptional in the delivery of high-quality services and in meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety Management System at Wood’s Homes.
Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct treatment services to a caseload of children, youth and families in the form of family, individual and group intervention and therapy.
  • Performs assessments of clients as assigned.  Provides a written report of the assessment following case management guidelines.
  • Completes written and timely records of ongoing clinical work following case management and professional guidelines.
  • Provides clinical consultation to Wood’s Homes programs as assigned and enhances clinical skill and knowledge.
  • Provides staff training, practicum student training, and clinical training to community professionals, as requested.
  • Actively communicates with community resources regarding Wood’s Homes clientele and programs.
  • Participates in research and other specialized projects, as assigned.
  • Reports workplace hazards, unsafe or unhealthy conditions, or incidents (including near misses, injuries, or equipment damage) to their direct supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Ph.D. Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Family Nursing, Art Therapy, or a related field.
  • Is licensed in accordance with the Health Professions Act and provides services in accordance with professional standards, guidelines, and ethics.
  • Current proof of professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees.
  • Able to complete written documentation within established time frames.
  • Must have own transportation.
  • Personal suitability.
