Fresh Hope Counselling Ltd., a well-established counselling practice in Edmonton is growing and we are seeking a contract Psychologist to join our thriving practice and work primarily with, but not limited to, children and youth at our South Edmonton office. We are a skilled, multidisciplinary team that helps clients work through assorted challenges and mental health concerns. We are interested in life-time learners who like to challenge themselves to be the best Therapists they can be. The successful candidate will help us provide effective, meaningful counselling services to a wide array of clients. Our office provides numerous possibilities for the right motivated individual, including specialization.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Registered and in good standing with College of Alberta Psychologists — consideration may be given to the right Provisional Psychologist (no CCC’s or other designations at this time)
• Have training/experience and strong desire to work with children (5 and up) and teens/youth
• Must be experienced with a wide variety of mental health and emotional issues/disorders
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Christian counselling experience/familiar with integrating faith into therapy (as we have a large number of clients who request faith-based/Christian counselling)
• Must have professional liability insurance

• Committed to continuing education and learning new skills
• Easily builds therapeutic alliance and has a passion for helping children, teens and families
• Comfortable doing in-person and virtual sessions
• Minimum of 3-5 years counselling experience
• Preference for those wanting to build a long-term practice within our South Side clinic (part-time with possibility of full-time)
• On the personal side – a welcoming therapist who is organized, reliable, has good time management skills and a sense of humour
