Mental Health Therapist

Your Opportunity:

Rural Addiction and Mental Health is looking for an experienced, skilled, enthusiastic and dynamic team member to fill the position of a permanent 0.8 FTE Mental Health Therapist. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a continuum of services, including behavioural health care and shared care services. The successful candidate will complete screenings, assessments, treatment planning, harm reduction, case management and therapeutic interventions in individual and group settings.

This person will maintain accurate and appropriate documentation on client files in a timely fashion and able to complete referrals to various treatment programs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, allied professionals and community agencies to provide seamless service to clients and their significant collaterals in various stages of recovery. This person requires a high degree of clinical skill and experience as well as exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to function independently in a non-AHS work setting, as they will bridge services between medical clinics, and other AHS Addiction and Mental Health programs. This person will complete formal and informal consultation and education for physicians and other staff in medical clinics regarding the patients and services available for them, including in-services on a variety of addiction and mental health topics as requested.
