Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and psychological assessments for children, inclusive of cognitive, academic, adaptive, social-emotional, and behavioral evaluations.
  • Administer and interpret a range of standardized assessment tools, such as:
    • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children – Fifth Edition (WISC-V)
    • Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence – Fourth Edition (WPPSI-IV)
    • Wechsler Individual Achievement Test – Fourth Edition (WIAT-4)
    • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition (ADOS-2)
    • Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales – Third Edition (Vineland-3)
    • Behavior Assessment System for Children – Third Edition (BASC-3)
    • Adaptive Behavior Assessment System – Third Edition (ABAS-3)
    • Conners 4th Edition (Conners 4)
  • Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive assessment reports that provide practical recommendations for families, schools, stakeholders and other involved professionals.
  • Provide detailed feedback to families, communicating findings in a strength-based and compassionate and sensitive manner.
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, stakeholders, and other team members to integrate assessment results into holistic assessment report
  • Maintain accurate and timely client documentation per CAPs Standards of Practice.

We’re Looking for a Candidate who is:

  • A Provisional or Registered Psychologist with a passion for child development and psychological assessment.
  • Experienced in administering, scoring, and interpreting a variety of cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessment measures for children. Familiarity with Q-Interactive/Q-Global is an asset.
  • Possess strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic formulation, and report writing skills.
  • Able to work independently while effectively collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
  • Dedicated to client-centered care and ethical practice.
  • Experience working with children aged 3 and up is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Active Provisional or Full Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
  • Holds Professional Liability Insurance with a minimum $5 million coverage as per CAP requirements.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
