About Us

At Poirier Counselling, we are deeply committed to providing inclusive, affirming, and trauma-informed care to individuals from all walks of life. We focus on creating a supportive space for clients navigating trauma-related impacts, including body shame, disrupted relationships with food, attachment wounds, perfectionism, boundary challenges, and more. We are looking for a clinician who can complement this focus by bringing additional perspectives and approaches to therapy. Our practice is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and an intersectional approach to mental health. Poirier Counselling is lucky to be nestled within the Empowered Collective, a space where independent practitioners can collaborate through cross-referrals, resource sharing, peer consultation, and shared values of care and community. (We also have out-of-office hangs a few times a year!)
