You LOVE doing therapy! You feel tremendous privilege in being able to connect with people on a deep level knowing that oftentimes you are the only person who sees their pain, knows their hidden story, and believe in their worth. The positive changes your clients have made as a result of your work together fill your heart with joy and a deep sense of purpose. Because you love doing therapy and you’re really good at it, there have been many times when you can’t believe you’re being paid to do this work!

Wait, I Did Not Think Becoming A Therapist Would Be Like This.

But lately, those thoughts have been less frequent. Maybe it’s because the caseload you’re expected to carry is high, you feel like you’re drowning in paperwork, there’s no flexibility in your schedule, you don’t get to work with your ideal population, and/or you feel undervalued and lonely. All of these factors are impinging on your love of doing therapy, and you want the joy back.

There is a way out; you can have it all with us. You could do the clinical work that you love without the burnout. We are looking for a registered Social Worker or Psychologist to join our private practice.

There Is Hope!

We are seeking an associate to join our team three days a week with the option to increase to full-time hours. The hours available are flexible depending on your availability and personal life. This position is for someone looking to work with clients in person out of our office, based in Olds, Alberta.

Those who are advanced or early on in their careers are encouraged to apply and please know that we welcome and prioritize diversity at our office. We provide a flexible work schedule.

The primary focus at our clinic is healing trauma and promoting secure, resilient relationships with individuals, couples and families.

We would be a great fit for a social worker or psychologist who is looking for a positive and supportive team. Provisional psychologists with their own supervision are encouraged to apply. We provide all client referrals and administrative support, so you can see clients and relax knowing that everything else is handled.

If you are a warm, upbeat, reflective, transparent and authentic therapist …

whose practice is built upon building relationships, lifelong learning, integrity and ethics…

and you maintain a sustainability practice (to ensure your own mental health to avoid burnout) and attend your own personal therapy as needed …

You are passionate about the mission to heal intergenerational trauma by providing therapy to adult and/or child and/or teen, and/or couples, and/or families.

You are looking for life-work sustainability with the option to work towards creating the best schedule for your lifestyle. You hope to work three shifts a week, seeing five clients per shift with the opportunity to grow your caseload/ increase your shifts if you choose. You want the flexibility to work daytime, evening and weekend shifts as it suits your lifestyle.

You are looking for the opportunity to earn an income to support your lifestyle and belong on a team of like-minded therapists.

We are a warm, passionate, conscientious, small group practice, providing in-person and online therapy from our clinic in Olds, Alberta. We serve Central Alberta and offer online therapy throughout Alberta.

We practice from a relational model and believe we cannot do this work alone. We see ourselves and others better by vulnerably working alongside each other. We are a team that chooses to risk, play, be messy and not be afraid to make mistakes in our learning. We encourage, walk beside and support each other to grow out of our comfort zones. We show up to celebrate each other and to be a soft landing place when this work and world is hard.

There is no expert on our team, we learn from each other and work collaboratively, co-creating together. As Dr. Sue Johnson, founder of Emotionally Focused Therapy said, “we are all bozos on the same bus.” As imperfect human beings, we know it is inevitable to have ruptures in our relationships and take risks to repair injuries with each other with openness, accessibility, responsiveness and vulnerability to restore trust, safety, belonging and connection.

We help individuals, couples and families live with ease, heal trauma and create secure, resilient relationships.
