Dreamcatcher™ is recruiting a Registered Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Provisional Psychologist, or Master Level Registered Social Worker to join our team!
Our therapists work in a natural setting with animals while conducting counselling and therapy sessions. We provide services to children, youth, adults, and seniors with a range of mental health conditions and complex needs, including neurodevelopmental challenges, trauma, addictions, emotional and behavioural concerns, disabilities, and daily life issues.
The candidate will work on contract with the private practice starting with part-time hours with the intention of moving into a full-time contract position. Please be aware that this is an on-site/in-person position; however, some remote work may be required.
To be a successful candidate you:
- Must be a Registered Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist, Registered Social Worker or Clinical Social Worker with a minimum of a master’s degree.
- Must be registered in good standing with your respective regulatory body.
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience working with children and youth with complex needs consisting of multiple mental health diagnoses, cognitive disabilities, emotional/behavioral issues, addictions and/or trauma background.
- Have horse experience.
- Have training in AAT and EFC or willing to train.
- Have a compassionate understanding and appreciation for animals of all species as well as for nature.
- Are willing to work outdoors in all conditions, all seasons of the year.
- Are flexible in joining a growing team and open to balancing a variety of tasks.
- Have reliable transportation to and from work.
Assets:
- Indigenous Descent is a strong asset.
- Full registration as a Clinical Social Worker or Registered Psychologist is preferred.
- Preference will be given to those applicants with horse experience and AAT/EFC experience.
- Experience in other mediums such as Talk, Art, Play, EMDR and Sand Tray therapies.
- Approved providers for FNIHB.
- Skilled in Assessments.
- Available to work evenings.
