The Role

We are seeking a Registered Psychologist and/or Registered Provisional Psychologist to join our team supporting a variety of individuals and presenting concerns. This role is ideal for someone who values autonomy and community, and someone who wants to build a caseload aligned with their passion and personal capacity.

Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta

Hours: Flexible, let’s chat about your needs

Format: In-person with optional hybrid/virtual offerings

What You’ll Do

  • Design a practice that suits your lifestyle and values your well-being
  • Provide person-centered, compassionate, evidence-based, and trauma-informed general mental health assessment and counselling across the lifespan (based on your preferred population, personal interest, and skill set)
  • Engage in empirically supported treatment planning and case management
  • Provide support from your unique theoretical orientation, and utilizing evidence-based treatment interventions/modalities (tailored to client needs)
  • Opportunities to facilitate groups (optional)
  • Collaborate and consult meaningfully with fellow practitioners and community partners (optional but encouraged, let’s stay connected!)
  • Maintain client records and documentation in accordance with the College of Alberta Psychologist standards of practice
  • Engage in professional competency and training opportunities
  • Contribute to a culture of psychological safety, warmth, equity, inclusivity, and professionalism
  • Possess a willingness to learn and unlearn together

You Are

  • A registered or provisionally registered, and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists
  • Covered by professional liability insurance
  • Skilled in one or more therapeutic modalities, and have a strong theoretical orientation
  • Ethical, self-aware, curious, and aligned with keeping a sustainable practice
  • Comfortable working independently, but enjoy being a part of something bigger (part of a team)
  • Possessing strong organizational skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication
  • Someone who wants to make an impact while staying grounded
  • Someone who values a team, likes to socialize, and is passionate about community care
  • Someone who practices humility, and cares about equity and inclusion

Nice to Have

  • Interest in group work, consultation, or community offerings
  • A desire to contribute and co-create as part of a team
