Searching for a Provisional/Registered Psychologist focus on Children and families

Greener Pastures Psychology is looking for a Provisional or Registered Psychologist in good
standings with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Our ideal candidate has applicable training
and focus working with children (under 18). The right person will be willing to work and consult
within a team environment, be patient and client focused to help clients achieve their best self.

Please note that this is a contractor position. There is no guarantee of hours, and you must be

About Greener Pastures Psychology
Greener Pastures Psychology is a new psychology office located in Langdon Alberta. Serving the
needs of the rural communities, we currently offer therapy to pre-teens, teens, and adults with
varying lenses of focus. We are wanting to expand our offerings to Children and families. Our
company focus is to add in resources to those with fewer options and create a community among
practicing rural therapists.

Job Description:
 Offer in-person and virtual, child, individual or family psychological treatment
 Be open to understanding and learning the dynamics of a rural environment.
 Provide therapy, and superb customer service, helping our clients see their best selves.
 Keep up to date therapeutic notes
Job Requirements
 Master’s degree or doctorate
 Active and valid license to practice Psychology in Alberta (CAP – Provisional (with off
site supervisor, R. Psych)
 A secured laptop
 2+ years of relevant work experience
 Experience working with children (at least 6 and over) and families, training in play
therapy or sand tray an asset

What we are looking for in a candidate:

 You are a Registered Provisional Psychologist or Registered Psychologist in good
standing with the College, and current liability insurance (Please Note: if you are a
Registered Provisional Psychologist, we would require that you have an external
supervisor)
 You have training and experience (or an interest in) working from an evidence based
modality
 Working with children & youth, you work from an attachment or play therapy lens, and
have some specialized training or experience in working with this population.(Required)
 You engage in frequent self reflection and have done your own work through therapy, self
reflection, consultation, and/or other means
 You are willing to grow, engage, support, and acknowledge differences for yourself and
others (if you are someone who just wants to punch in and punch out, this role isn’t for
you)
 You have a trauma awareness lens or are willing to develop, and a willingness to
constantly grow and further cultivate your understanding through continuing education
 You want to be part of a thriving and growing private practice in a rural setting that
provides you with a sense of community, engagement, and empowerment
