We’re currently seeking psychologists with a passion for meaningful, client-centered work. We have immediate openings for psychologists who specialize in the following areas:

• Trauma therapy (EMDR, somatic approaches, etc.)
• Couples counselling
• Family counselling
• Individual adult counselling
• Child and adolescent counselling

At Alberta Counselling Centre, we take pride in supporting our psychologists so they can focus on clinical work. We provide the clients, no need to hustle for referrals, or offer free consultations. Our full-time onsite medical office assistant/office manager and administrative assistants handle all client bookings and administrative tasks, so you don’t have to. All offices have extensive natural light, sound-proofing, and adjustable lighting and blinds to accommodate sensory needs. We also have a wide assortment of hot and cold beverages and snacks for client and staff comfort. You bring your clinical skills, compassion, desire to learn, and commitment to client care and we’ll fill your schedule.

Type of Position: Part-time contract position, 2 to 3 days a week.

Schedule: Flexible and can be negotiated. We have daytime and evening shifts available, 7 days a week.

Qualifications:

• Able to provide a combination of online therapy and in-office therapy.
• Comfortable working in a private practice setting with other psychologists.
• Strong foundation in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, EMDR, DBT, ACT, Gottman) and desire to learn and grow.
• Experienced working with some or all of the following: individuals, couples, families, adults, youth, and children.
• Dependable, punctual, and organized with session documentation and scheduling.
• Skilled at creating a warm, non-judgmental therapeutic environment.
• Registered psychologist in the province of Alberta and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists.

Bonus Assets:

• Completed EMDRIA approved EMDR Basic Training (subsidy provided for EMDR training)
• knowledge of Jane Software
• Ability to provide paperless documentation (e.g., chart directly into Jane using clinic tablets)
• Desire to work Sundays
