Leaders International is working with the Saskatchewan Health Authority to recruit a Chief Psychologist & Director, Forensic Services for Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford.
This leadership opportunity combines oversight of forensic services with responsibility for psychological services. The Director leads clinical and operational planning, manages budgets and teams, and works closely with health system, community and justice partners to support safe, patient- and family-centred care.
Key responsibilities
• Lead the administration of forensic services, including the custody and care of individuals referred or detained through the criminal justice system.
• Oversee psychological services, including clinical, educational, consultative and research services.
• Provide expert opinion evidence to the courts on forensic issues.
• Develop operational plans, manage resources and support a skilled, engaged team.
Qualifications
Candidates will bring a recognized Doctorate in Psychology; professional licensure and good standing, as applicable; 3–5 years of experience providing psychology services; and 3–5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience. Strong communication, collaboration and analytical skills, knowledge of applicable legislation, and a commitment to culturally safe care are essential. A valid Class 5 driver’s licence is required.
Compensation
A competitive compensation package includes base salary, excellent benefits and a defined benefit pension plan. A signing bonus and/or relocation package may also be available.
