Major depression has been extensively studied and there has been an enormous growth in the field in recent years. There are now many well- established and psychosocial risk factors for depression, some of which are addressed in treatment, but many of which are not given the attention they perhaps require. The ability to develop case conceptualized models of depression and to select the most likely effective treatment for a given client requires knowledge about these developments. In this webinar recent information about risk and resilience will be shared, and evidence- based models of treatment will be highlighted that can address these risk factors. Attendees will come away with a greater appreciation of the complexity of the concept of depression and the range of potentially useful treatments. This presentation will be of most use to practitioners with experience assessing and treating clients with depression, either alone or when in the presence of other comorbid conditions.
