Join the PAA team: Continuing Professional Development Officer

Our small but mighty team is looking for our next Continuing Professional Development Officer.

Job type: Full-time.

Work schedule & location: Monday to Friday (weekends as needed), in person.

Job Summary:

  • Schedule dates, locations, & speakers for continuing professional development workshops and webinars.
  • Book venue, catering, & hotel accommodations if required.
  • Prepare budget & all corresponding workshop administration documents (registration forms, sign-in sheets, training agreements, outlines etc.).
  • Prepare & follow workshop marketing & advertising plan (social media, other professional psychological associations, website, Psymposium magazine).
  • Process payments, cancellations, & issue receipts & confirmations of registration.
  • Prepare all handouts for registrants (PowerPoint & additional handouts provided by speaker).
  • Attend the workshop to coordinate all necessary activities (registration, setup, tear down, catering etc.) & take pictures for promotions and advertising.
  • Coordinate CE credits for participants – update member profile, mail letters.
  • Ensure attendee evaluation & prepare summary letter for presenter(s).
  • Maintain workshop folders in the PAA shared folder.
  • Research topics & speakers for future workshops.
  • Process purchase requests for continuing education materials.
  • Prepare & submit annual report to Canadian Psychological Association for continuing education credit sponsorship.

As a PAA Team Member:

  • Responsible to assist staff with collaborative projects.
  • Cross-training for existing technology platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CEO and/or COO.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree
  • Project management experience is an asset.
  • Human relations or career development experience is an asset.
  • Experience in related fields will be considered.
