Results from the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta 2023 Technology in Practice Survey
Established in September 2018, the Technology in Practice (TiP) Taskforce addressed issues related to the use of emerging technologies and psychological practice.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the committee surveyed PAA members to obtain a “snapshot” of technology use at that time. With the growing acceptance and use of telepsychology in Canada and globally since 2020, the taskforce followed up their initial survey with members again in May 2023. This follow-up survey aimed to establish a more current understanding of the incorporation of technology in practice and the continued use of telepsychology.
Survey distribution and data collection were done online and sent to the existing PAA membership base. 144 individuals responded to the various survey questions. The (TiP) Taskforce submitted the 2023 survey report to the PAA board on May 28, 2024.
The full report is now available.
