Abby Oloriz (she/her), recently graduated from MacEwan University. Her honours thesis used electroencephalography (EEG) to explore how task engagement and learnability influence neural reward processing. Her work was recognized by the 2026 Psychologists' Association of Alberta (PAA) Undergraduate Thesis Award, the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) Certificate of Academic Excellence and an Honourable Mention for Oral Presentation. Through her leadership as VP of the Student Psychology Network, she was also recognized as SAMU's 2026 Student Member of the Year. 

Following a practicum with PAA through MacEwan University, Abby was welcomed to the team in the spring of 2026 as PAA's new Resource Specialist, where she hopes to continue developing her passion for counselling, leadership, and promoting psychology in her community.
