When Joanna joined the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA) in 2011, it was a small four-person, part-time operation. Over the past 15 years, she has grown alongside the association, helping build the financial, operational, and technology systems that support PAA and its members today.

As Chief Operating Officer, Joanna oversees finance, operations, human resources, and technology. Working closely with the CEO, she enjoys turning ideas and organizational priorities into practical systems that work — from strengthening financial controls and modernizing technology and cybersecurity to leading major operational projects.

A continuous learner and practical problem-solver, Joanna believes strong organizations are built not only through good ideas, but through reliable systems, thoughtful decisions, and people working together toward a common purpose. Her focus is helping ensure PAA remains financially responsible, operationally strong, and ready to meet the evolving needs of its members.

Outside of PAA, Joanna stays energized through fitness, healthy cooking, and salsa dancing.
