Being a Campus Representative is a great way to cultivate a better understanding of PAA and the role of the association as well as gain leadership experience while connecting with other students in psychology. These positions are also very rewarding; they provide the opportunity to network with psychologists working in a variety of capacities within Alberta as well as establish a foundation within the profession of psychology prior to the completion of your degree. Graduate Campus Representatives
City University – Evan Bridson-Pateman (Campus Representative Program Lead)
Evan is a second-year Master of Counselling student at City University in Canada: Calgary. After working for nearly a decade in environmental consulting, he transitioned into the psychological field, with a new motivation to help people one-on-one. His professional goals include individual and group therapy modalities for people facing life changes, and identity challenges and existentialism. In his role as the PAA campus representative program leader, Evan brings together the campus representatives to synthesize ideas from students and campuses, and advances them to the PAA Governance Officer. He also plans and executes meetings, recruits representatives, and spearheads PAA student event initiatives. He enjoys engaging with busy students and amplifying their voices within the PAA and the psychological community at large. Evan is also a father to a toddler, and he spends the majority of his time outside class caregiving.
Concordia University of Edmonton – Zoé Saulnier
Zoé is a second-year Doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University of Edmonton, enrolled in the PsyD program. She graduated in 2020 from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), along with a Research Certificate in Arts and an Applied Social Science Research Certificate. Since completing her undergraduate degree, she has been working at the Canadian Mental Health Association (Edmonton Region), supporting individuals in crisis. Additionally, she remains active in the community by volunteering in various mental-health-related roles. These experiences have deepened her understanding of how circumstances, systems, and personal health impact individuals as they navigate the challenges of education and employment. Zoé hopes to apply this awareness to advocate for students at CUE and help connect them with the essential support resources provided by the PAA. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, listening to podcasts, hiking, playing volleyball, reading, and catching up with friends over tea.
University of Calgary – Shelbi Snodgrass
Shelbi is completing her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of Calgary and the co-founder of Snodgrass and Duff Performance Consulting and Counselling Inc. Her formal training is in the areas of mental health, addiction and recovery, and performance psychology. Her approach to counselling centres around collaboration, the exploration of intersecting identity development, self-empowerment, and leadership. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), a Certified Mental Performance Consultant ® (CMPC) with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, a professional member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA), and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. In her role as PAA representative, Shelbi collaborates, advocates, liaisons for student lead initiatives within post-secondary. Outside of work, Shelbi enjoys traveling, fitness classes, and spending time with family and friends.

Suzy is a fourth-year student at Concordia University of Edmonton in the Psychology with an Applied Emphasis program. Besides school, she volunteers for the CUE Wellness group where she maintains a personal project around campus. She is involved in choir, soccer, and is a devoted dog mom to her pup, Teegan. She is also doing a field placement at SAGE where she is exploring psychology in the realm of geriatrics and the healthcare field. She hopes that as a PAA Campus Representative that she can develop her liaising and advocacy skills to prepare her a future involved in the psychological well-being of seniors.
