Hiring - Behaviour Support Consultant

Behaviour Support Consultant (part-time)

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Participate in planning and intake for new consumers to Vecova.
- Support in developing, consulting, and reviewing consumer risk program strategies designed to address behaviours or situations of concern for individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health concerns.
- Develop a collaborative program to support individuals with complex behaviour or medical needs and their support network.
- Support internal services teams through education, training, and promotion of ethical best practice in behaviour support.
- Facilitate staff development presentations specific to an individual, their team and the disability services sector.
- Participate on internal or external working groups or committees aligned with organizational and sector needs.

WHAT YOU BRING
We want to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences, and interests. These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:
- Master of Social Work, Master of Arts in Psychology, Master of Counselling, or equivalent.
- Registered in good standing with regulatory body such as: College of Alberta Psychologists, Alberta College of Social Workers, Canadian Certified Counsellor.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the areas of behaviour support development, consultation and management.
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs, ideally with developmental or other disabilities.
- Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity.
