Hiring a contract Provisional Psychologist, Play Therapist (on-site CAP Supervisor available)

The Cochrane Counselling Centre is looking for a Registered Provisional Psychologist who has a strong interest in play therapy and is seeking a CAP supervisor as they work toward their registered psychology hours. This role would be a great fit for someone who is passionate about working with children, particularly those under eight years old, as well as their parents and families.

The successful candidate will receive clinical supervision from our experienced Registered Psychologist and CAP supervisor, Crystal Popke, who will support them in completing their required hours toward registration. A special bonus would be someone who also has experience or interest in psychological assessment (with a secondary supervisor), although this is not required. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about building their practice, collaborating within our team, and providing thoughtful, developmentally appropriate care to young children and their families.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Masters degree and is Registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists
- Current licensure and professional liability insurance for Alberta
- Interested in working with young children using attachment models, such as Therapaplay® and Play Therapy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Motivated to provide exceptional client care, responsive to clients and open to feedback
- A desire for continued self-improvement, willingness to self-reflect
Strong communication skills

Compensation:
Competitive compensation based on experience.
