Summary:
Lionheart Foundation is seeking a flexible, Regional Clinical Lead to provide clinical leadership to our Edmonton Youth Mental Health Counselling Program. Working closely with the Program Manager and reporting to the Clinical Director, the Regional Clinical Lead will provide clinical support to the Program’s Intake Team, facilitate training and consultation with network therapists, conduct clinical file reviews, and lead ongoing recruitment of therapists into Lionheart’s network to ensure adequate program capacity to deliver best-in-class therapy to financially disadvantaged adolescents, young adults and parents.
The Regional Clinical Lead will have a solid understanding of adolescent mental health, specifically adolescent brain development, attachment-based and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches. They will have a minimum of 5 years in a clinical and adolescent mental health setting.

Responsibilities:
The Regional Clinical Lead is responsible for:
• The recruitment of aligned therapists within the Edmonton region to Lionheart’s therapeutic network to deliver subsidized anxiety-based, adolescent-specific therapy
• Lead the clinical onboarding for all new partner/contracted Lionheart therapists
• Facilitate ongoing clinical training and peer consultation groups for all local therapists
• Provide clinical support to the Youth Mental Health Counselling Program Intake Team
• Conduct regular clinical file reviews for all adolescent and young adult clients
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the mental health and services landscape in Edmonton
- Have a master’s degree or PhD in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or any other related clinical field
- Be registered and in good standing with their professional organization or governing body
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with adolescents in a mental health setting (age 12 to 25)

o Trauma-Informed Approaches
o Personal & Interpersonal Neurobiology
o Analysis & Integration of Intersectionality, Biases, Anti-Racism & DEI
At least three of the following treatment modalities:
o EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization/Reprogramming)
o EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Family Therapy
o Exposure Therapy
o Mindfulness
o Solution-Focused Therapy
o Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
o Art Therapy
o Hakomi Method
o Integrative Body Psychotherapy
o Maudsley Method
o Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)
- Minimum 3-5 years clinical supervisory experience or managerial experience in a mental health setting
- Ability to obtain a PRAC ID
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in report writing for funders
- Experience working at a non-profit organization an asset
