Bluebird Psychology is a Calgary-based private psychology practice, offering counselling services for children and teens, psychoeducational assessments, gifted testing, PDD/AISH Assessments, and ADHD assessments.
We take a strengths-based approach to assessment and care - our goal is not just to identify challenges, but to uncover and build on each child's unique abilities and potential.
Early-career psychologists are welcome and encouraged to apply. Our senior psychologist is available for one-on-one mentorship and guidance beyond our weekly group consultations, supporting your growth and confidence as you build your practice!
We are seeking a warm and compassionate Registered Psychologist who:

- Can commit to a minimum of 5 assessments per month (combination of gifted assessments, psychoeducational assessments, and ADHD assessments)
- Is in good standing with CAP with current liability insurance.
- Adheres to ethical standards of practice.
- Is well-versed in and has experience with conducting a variety of psychoeducational assessments (report writing samples will be requested)
- Is comfortable working in a private practice setting.
- Is able to work independently.
- Is highly organized with excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Possesses at least one year of clinical experience (references may be requested).
- Can provide a current Intervention Record Check (IRC) and Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
We offer:
- Independent contractor positions with scheduling flexibility based on office availability.
- A mix of both in-office and virtual appointments.
- Use of iPads and testing materials for assessments.
- Active referral support from day one - we work to ensure new contractors have a steady caseload from the start, so you can focus on what you do best.
- Fully-furnished office space.
- In-office administrative support.
- Case consultation.
- Access to a resource library.
- A welcoming reception space with complimentary snacks and beverages for your clients and a playroom.
- Optional weekly group consultation and learning opportunities.
- Collaboration and learning opportunities from other Registered Psychologists within our greater collective (Prairie Psychology Collective). This includes ASD assessments, forensic work, nonverbal assessments, and capacity assessments.
- Free parking.
- Use of a free on-site gym.
- The opportunity to grow your specializations and areas of interest.
