What Alberta Counselling Centre Offers

Alberta Counselling Centre offers a warm, collaborative environment with a team of 18–20 psychologists who genuinely support one another. Clients consistently describe the office as beautiful, often commenting on the abundance of plants and the large windows in every therapy room. Each room is filled with natural light and professionally soundproofed to ensure both comfort and privacy, creating an ideal setting for meaningful clinical work.

Strong Administrative Support: Our full-time front desk staff manage all booking, billing, and client inquiries with warmth and efficiency.

Paperless Charting: Easy documentation with Jane software complete with clinical supplies and tablets for charting notes.

Professional Growth: We offer a subsidy for psychologists to attend EMDRIA-approved EMDR training to expand your skills.

Flexibility: Contract positions available for 2–3 shifts per week, with flexible scheduling. We’re open 7 days a week from 9am–9pm, so you can choose the shifts that work best for you.

No Hassle Scheduling: We provide the clients, no need to hustle for referrals, generate social media posts, or offer free consultations. Our full-time onsite receptionist and administrative assistants handle all client bookings and administrative tasks, so you don’t have to. You bring your professionalism, clinical skills, compassion, and commitment to client care and we'll fill your schedule.

Compensation: Commensurate with training and experience. Competitive split based on monthly revenue.

Qualities of the Ideal Candidate:

- Able to provide a combination of online therapy and in-office therapy.
- Comfortable working in a private practice setting with other psychologists.
- Strong foundation in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, EMDR, DBT, ACT, Gottman).
- Experienced working with some or all of the following: individuals, couples, families, adults, youth, and children.
- Dependable, punctual, and organized with session documentation and scheduling.
- Skilled at creating a warm, non-judgmental therapeutic environment.
- Registered psychologist in the province of Alberta and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists.

Bonus Assets:

• EMDR training
• Knowledge of Jane Software and digital charting
