Registered Psychologist
Blake Psychological is looking for a registered psychologist with a background in play therapy, aboriginal mental health and wellness and addictions. The job is seeing group home children and teens in office for 50 minute counselling sessions 3 weeks out of 4 in Edmonton, and the fourth week will be a one week subcontract at the Montreal Lake Reserve in Saskatchewan.
If you enjoy the beautiful lakes, fishing, boating and water sports in Northern Saskatchewan, this might be the job for you. It is a 7 hour drive there, hotel paid, travel days will be Monday and Friday. The psychologist will be paid for their travel time and 71 cents per km, 3 work days of 6 hours each day, mostly psycho-educational assessments, parental assessments, some counselling and some family interventions. The counselling entails children, teens, adults, with some individual and some family counselling for re-integration of family units. The program is called "Camp Hope", and is a land based treatment program. There is access to a special child sensory building and the psychologist will be working closely with occupational therapists. Psychologists will also engage in staff training, like teaching basic sensory activities, calming children and emotional regulation. Next program starts on April 20th, 2026. They would like to have a psychologist in there starting the 1st or 2nd week of May 2026.
