Registered Psychologists

Yukon First Nation Education Directorate (YFNED) is inviting Expressions of Interest from Registered Psychologists to provide assessment, consultation, and psychological support services for Indigenous children and youth starting September 2026.

We are seeking individuals who prioritize relationship with communities, families and learners, to ensure services are grounded in trust and respect. Demonstration of a strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach to their practice is necessary, as is the ability to incorporate Yukon First Nation ways of knowing and being into practice, when appropriate, with support from community partners and Elders.

Prospective Psychologists must demonstrate experience working in education and be in good professional standing.  

Regular travel to Yukon First Nation communities of up to a week in duration, 10 days per month is necessary.

Required Qualifications: Licensed (or eligibility for licensing) as a Psychologist in Yukon; experience conducting psychoeducational assessments with children and youth; demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with Indigenous communities; valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within Yukon.
