While the field of psychology continues to move toward greater cultural sensitivity, research, education, and practice remain grounded primarily in dominant Euro Western approaches.
PAA Ethics Round Tables (PERT), is a peer-support program to enhance ethical professional practice and decision making.
This program is not intended to provide clinical supervision nor to offer an expert opinion or detailed consultation on one specific case. This program is not personalized professional guidance such as that offered by the College of Alberta Psychologist’s Professional Guidance program nor is it one-to-one practice advisor support such as that offered by the PAA Practice Advisor Program. These sessions will not be recorded, and minutes or notes will not be taken.
This workshop will have both a professional and personal emphasis. Professionally, it is intended for those who are interested in learning more about working with older clients and their families. Personally, it will explore participants’ own planning for future aging and negotiating age-related transitions such as retirement
